TAYMAY

TAYMAY (born Roman Alekseevich Riabko on April 19, 1988, in Melitopol) is a Ukrainian hip-hop artist, songwriter, and producer. His identity is built on a unique foundation: the discipline of a world-class athlete, the analytical mind of a former police investigator, and a 20-year legacy in conscious rap.

The Silver Crown Era & Early Career (2003–2006)

Roman’s musical journey began in 2003 in Pavlohrad under the pseudonym MC STAN. Between 2003 and 2009, he was exceptionally prolific, writing over 50 songs and poems that formed the backbone of his lyrical style.

• Collaboration with Viktoria Olize (2004–2005): During the formation of the group Silver Crown, Roman (as Stan) recorded the track "Love" (Любовь). The song was recorded using simple, home-based peripheral equipment, reflecting the authentic underground scene of that time. The female vocals were performed by Viktoria Olize, a family friend who later became a star of "The Voice" (Ukraine and Russia) and a renowned jazz performer.
• Silver Crown Group: In 2004, he co-founded Silver Crown (with members STUFF and ToL), recording underground hits like "I Need to Run" (Мне надо бежать) and "Voice".
• Social Impact: In 2006, he gained media attention (newspaper "Zapadny Donbass") after a performance at Pavlohrad Correctional Colony №142. He performed the songs "Father" (Отец) and "Golden Youth" for the "Day of Ukrainian Vyshyvanka".

Elite Sports & Education (2000–2010)

• Muay Thai (2000–2006): Six years of professional training in Pavlohrad, resulting in numerous titles and first-place finishes in Ukrainian national championships.
• University Years: In 2006, he moved to Irpin to study at the Faculty of Tax Police (NUDPSU).
• World Championship Success (2009): After switching to Combat Multi-style (incorporating marksmanship, hand-to-hand combat, and knife fighting), he won 2nd place at the World Championship in 2009.

During his time in Kyiv and Irpin, Roman participated in major charity concerts for children with cancer. He shared the stage with national icons:

• Tax Police (2010–2016): Served in the Tax Police bodies in Dnipropetrovsk.
• National Police (2019–2023): Served as a criminal investigator for the National Police of Ukraine.

Modern Era: TAYMAY (2026–Present)

In 2026, Roman officially returned to the music industry as TAYMAY. Currently, he is producing a new studio album in FL Studio, blending modern soundscapes with the "old-school" lyrical depth established in the early 2000s. Mystical Coincidences & Symbolic Legacy

A remarkable aspect of the TAYMAY moniker is its unintentional connection to ancient history. While Roman Riabko created the name in 2007 purely through personal inspiration, historical records show that "TAYMAY" appears on ancient Aramaic clay tesserae from Palmyra, Syria (ca. 100 BC). Specifically, artifact MS 1788/1 features the inscription "MALKBOL, THE GOOD FORTUNE OF TAYMAY," associated with cultic meals and ancient traditions.

Furthermore, Roman draws a symbolic connection to his birth name being carved in stone in the Vatican and his Destiny Number 4, which aligns with his life of discipline, structure, and service. These historical and numerological parallels add a layer of "fated" significance to his creative identity, bridging the gap between ancient stone and modern sound.
